![]() ![]() We have had 2 Winnebagos and you have to let the jacks turn themselves off. It would be intermitent and not happen every time.ĭo you allow the HWH system to time out and turn itself off when you retract the jacks? If you don't they will do what you are experiencing. And yes low fluid can cause and may or may not be the reason for the above decribed alarm coming on. It did not stay on and it did not burn anything up.This was the advise of techs at the dealer and always worked. On the three Winnebagos I had all with HWH jacks, the panel timed out and turned "off". One way to prevent that once the jacks were completely retracted was to leave the panel turned on. Does not mean it will cause anything to happen or not happen except the alarm is "sounding". If you hit the retract switch on the panel the alarm stops. Gives you a "start" the first time as one thinks the jacks are coming down. The alarm will sometimes sound as ones goes down the highway when the panel had been turned OFF. I will post results.ĭon't believe dougrainer understood what I wrote. Will be contacting the dealer's service dept in the morning with several new coach issues. Life is to short not to have a good time and enjoy!!! Due to the fact I was driving the next three days, I just disconnected the control panel with the single plug on the back.ģ00 Cummins ISB 5.9, Allison auto 5 speed It turned out to be the 12v in the circuit had a loose connection causing the panel to do weird things. Pump was coming on as well sounding like the jacks were going down but were not. I also have Power Gear and had a similar problem month ago. ![]() ![]() The solenoids are not built for continuous voltage, only for a max of about 10 minutes. IF you have a jack alarm that is on, and you leave the system on in STORE mode and the jack alarm NEVER goes OFF and you then travel even tho you know the jacks are fully retracted, the solenoid for that jack will burn out in about 20 minutes. You can have NO fluid in a HWH system and the jacks will retract and NEVER extend at all or cause the alarm to come on. LOW fluid will NOT cause HWH jacks to ever extend or NOT retract or cause the down alarm to come on. That puts the system in hibernation mode and IF any jack extends slightly in transit from road/exhaust heat causing fluid expansion in the hydraulic lines, the Hwh system with automatically come on and store the offending jack BEFORE the down light and alarm sensor comes on. If you have HWH, then IF you have a NON Auto Computerized leveling system, you MUST activate the touch pad EVERYTIME you start the chassis engine and then push the STORE button EVEN tho the jacks are retracted. If you have Powergear, you have a float reservoir that must be full.Ģ. This is what I was told and it worked for me when I had winnebago products with HWH jacks.ġ. Just leave them on and they will "turn off" by themselves. A "fix" if fluid is not low is to allow the jacks to time out and turn themselves off after raising them. Kenwood TS-2000, ICOM ID-5100, ID-51A+2, ID-880 REF030C most timesĪs others have said alarm can come on if the fluid is a little low. Or you can just add 1/2 cup at a time till the alarm goes silent.Ģ005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total lossĪfter a semi "nicked" it. #Open roads milwaukee manual#If you have one that is not calibrated you can use the manual described method of removing the screw, fill till it weeps, replace screw, replace dipstick, remove dipstick, trace oil line with a vibrating marker so it's now calibrated. If you have a calibrated dipstick, then with jacks FULLY RETRACTED, fill to marked line There are three ways to do tiis depending on your dipstick (If any) If jacks are POWER GEAR, then there is a float switch in the reservoir IT seems that as it gets cold the fluid contracts faster than the tank so it reads "Low fluid". It might be down a bit and this will sometimes cause the alarm. Topped it up and no more warning bells.Ģ004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor pushed by a 2013 Mazda Miata Mine did this once and when I checked the fluid level was down. "May the wind be always at your back and your destination the one you chose" and a "road dog" named Max and his gabby sister, Abby. easy fix.Ģ010 Traverse LT toad (Blue Ox & Breakbuddy) you probably get alarms on tighter turns as fluid shifts. a bump etc jars the jacks just a smidge and the alarm comes on-I just run with the jacks in retract(STORE) position and this seems to resolve the problem good luck Mine does something similiar all the time. Any ideas? This is a 2013 Winnebago Itasca Sunstar with 1700 miles.ĩ9 Fleetwood Vision 36Zulu V10 Gas F53 Chassis I stopped and checked and all the jacks were up. The jacks down light came on and the control panel turned on by itself. Topic: Jacks down alarm comes on while driving.ĭriving home from PSU game today.
